Day 1: Arrival Entebbe
Our company professional driver/guide will be at Entebbe Airport to pick you up from your flight and takes you directly to your lodge in Entebbe. Depending on the hour of your arrival, you may be able to explore the sites in and around Entebbe. You will stay in a nice hotel with spacious rooms. The coffee and local meals are wonderful and there are plenty of different species of birds in the gardens overlooking Lake Victoria.

Day 2: Transfer to Lake Mburo n.p- game drive
After breakfast, you will be taken to Kayabwe the famous area for the equator where you will have photographs taken when you standing on the equator and you will also experience to equator experiment of how water spins clock wise and anti-clock wise. later you will continue your journey to Lake Mburo National Park which is one of Uganda’s smallest parks, but certainly not to be underestimated. It is the only Ugandan national park (besides to Kidepo Valley NP) which is home to zebra, eland and impala, as well as an abundance of other wildlife. The lake itself is full with hippos and crocodiles! You will stay just outside the park boundaries, but it will feel like being in the middle of the park. From your verandah and restaurant you have a great view over the park and its wildlife.

Day 3: Boat Ride on Lake Mburo – Game drive & Boat ride
This morning you will have a game drive to look for elands, water bucks, impala, buffalo, giraffe, topi and warthogs. you will also have a chance of viewing different species of birds which are abundant in lake mburo national park Later afternoon you will drive to Queen Elizabeth national park, arriving late afternoon to your boat ride on the kazinga channel to look for different species of birds, crocodiles, hippos, antelopes coming to drink water. after boat ride you will go to your lodge for overnight.

Day 4: Queen Elizabeth National Park
This morning you will transfer to Queen Elizabeth the Uganda’s second largest park, located at the base of the majestic Rwenzori Mountain range, adjacent to Lake Edward and Lake George. The park has prolific game, including gazelle, Uganda kob, warthog and water buck. Lions are often sighted both in and at the entrance to the park. Be prepared for huge numbers of hippo and elephant, and keep your eyes peeled for a leopard lazing in the sunshine, this afternoon you will go for the boat ride on kazinga channel to look for schools of hippos, crocodiles, birds and animals that come to drink water like the leopard , lion and all the antelopes, not to forget the elephants.

Day 5: Queen Elizabeth n.p – Bwindi
Today you drive to Kisoro town located in the south-western part of Uganda; close to the borders with Rwanda and Congo. You cross a beautiful part of the country often referred to as ‘the Switzerland of Africa’. You will see a great country-side, bamboo forest and have great views over the Virunga Mountains. On your way to Kisoro you will have a game drive through Ishasha sector of queen Elizabeth national park to look for tree climbing lions. Then you will have lunch at Ishasha river to see the hippos in a school. The drive is rewarding with the best scenery and mountain table set up. You will arrive late afternoon at your lodge set in the beautiful town of Kisoro.

Day 6: Gorilla Tracking in Bwindi Forest
Today is the big day for gorilla trekking for those who have paid for their gorilla tracking permit, meet Uganda’s gentle giant! For most people this is the absolute highlight of their tour in Uganda. The gorillas you will track belong to one of nine habituated family groups who can tolerate the presence of humans for a brief period every day. Bwindi Impenetrable Forest boasts mountain gorillas and Duikers. It also hosts five other species of primate, 113 species of mammal, over 200 butterflies and 360 birds. (Each Gorilla Permit costs $600)
En route, your guide will point out signs of previous gorilla activity, including dung, nests and chewed bamboo shoots. Your track will be an exciting journey along forested slopes, entwined vines, bushes and bamboo before you eventually reach the gorilla family. The time taken to track the gorillas can be as few as 2 hours to as many as 7 hours. Once the gorillas have been located, your group will be allowed a maximum of one hour with them. Coming face-to-face with a mountain gorilla is a truly humbling and emotional experience. This is a fantastic and privileged opportunity to get up close and personal with Uganda’s very own ‘Gorillas in the Mist’. For those who will not participate in the gorilla tracking, you will have to visit the short pygmies the Batwa tribe the shortest people who used to leave in the Bwindi forest over 100years ago, you will visit the pygmy’s home where
they will demonstrate how they used to live in the forest, they will share with you their stories of their lives and how they have managed to live by themselves as the Batwa tribe in a community.Accommodation: Travelers rest hotel.

Day 7: Transfer to Nyungwe National park
After breakfast you will relax, swim in the lake, sun bath or take a walk in the gardens or into town, you will have lunch at the hotel then later your guide will drive you to Nyungwe national park, the road you will take goes by the lake, you will enjoy the views of the lake and towns by the lake side. You will arrive late afternoon at your guest house which is close to the Nyungwe park head quarters and a few kilometers to Nyungwe national forest park.

Day 8: Chimpanzee track & Water fall hike
Today you will experience some serious monkey business! Nyungwe National Park boasts the highest number of primate species in the world, including the chimpanzees. Approximately 3,000 chimpanzees live in the wild in Rwanda, which makes it a perfect place to spot them! (For those who opted to go Chimpanzee tracking and paid for your permit this is your best opportunity to track them, each permit costs $150). An experienced ranger will take you chimp tracking in the morning or afternoon; you might also see other monkey species that live here. Once you locate the chimpanzee you will have a full hour of eye-to-eye contact with them. Since they are wild animals, we can never guarantee you to see them and might have to settle with hearing their hoots and hollers. For those who don’t like going for Chimpanzee tracking there is an option for you, Nyungwe Water fall Hike will be a rewarding experience

Day 9: Nyungwe to Kigali
Oooops! it time to get back to civilization, this morning after you lovely breakfast, you will park up and head to Kigali the city of Rwanda, the fast growing city in Africa, after the genocide that wiped thousands of Rwandan people. you will arrive in the afternoon, and have a short city tour before its dark. You will visit the craft market, food and fruits market and Kigali commercial town center. Then later you will head your hotel.

Day 10: Travel to Akagera National park
In the morning you will have early breakfast and head straight to Akagera national park with is located in the east
north of the country Rwanda, it will take you 4 hours to get there by lunch time. After lunch you will have a late afternoon game drive to look for lions, zebras, topis, giraffes, Leopard, hippos, different species of birds and not to mention great scenery.

Day 11: Akagera National park- Game Drive
This morning at around 7am you will have a full day game drive in Akagera national park of Rwanda where you will look for giraffes, lions, leopards and other animals. This park has a different scenic view and many lakes pounded in the park through the national park. In the afternoon you might either go for a game drive if you arrive at Akagera national park on time, .

Day 12: Transfer to Nairobi-Kenya
This morning at 7:30 after you morning breakfast you will leave Akagera national park and head to Kanombe airport located in Kigali for you flight to Kenya -Nairobi. On arrival at Nairobi airport your Kenyan driver/guide will be waiting to pick you up from your flight. Tonight you will sleep in Mvuli suites in Nairobi. This nice mid-range accommodation has an en-suite bathroom and comfortable beds for a good night sleep.

Day 13: To Masai Mara game reserve
After an early breakfast you will head to the world famous Masai Mara game reserve on the border with Tanzania. An excellent year round animal concentration and known for its typical short savanna plains. Home to the great migration in the months July – October when two million Wildebeest make their way northwards from the Serengeti in Tanzania. On arrival at the gate you will have a long en-route game drive towards the tented camp where you will spend the coming two nights. After a nice lunch you will continue with an afternoon game drive to spot lions, buffaloes, antelopes and hippo’s and crocodiles in the Mara River. The coming two nights you will sleep at Mara Eden camp. The camps location is sublime located directly on the Mara river in the center of the reserve. Our tents are placed along the banks of the Mara river, with a seating area at the front for relaxed game and bird viewing. All the tents have hot and cold running water, a flush toilet, 24 hour solar lighting.

Day 14: Full day game drives in Masai Mara
Today you will have a full day of game drives ahead. Before sunrise you will try to spot different predators that might made a kill last night. You will return for breakfast at the camp while the sun rises over the game reserve.
You can decide to take a packed lunch for a full day game drives or come back at the camp for a hot lunch. The secret on sighting a lot of animals is to do different game drives on different time and areas for the highest success rate. After this exciting day you will come back to the camp where you can relax with a cold drink on your veranda with a view of the Mara river!

Day 15: Lake Naivasha
After breakfast it is time to leave the game reserve and have an en-route game drive out of the park. Today’s destination is Lake Naivasha where you will reach for a late lunch.
In the afternoon you will do a relaxing boat safari on Lake Naivasha to see hippos and many water birds like kingfishers, herons, cormorants, pelicans and many more. Later check-in at the resort. On the compound you can see zebras, waterbucks, giraffes and at night even hippos.

Day 16: To Amboseli National Park.
After breakfast you will go to Amboseli National Park via Nairobi. The view of Mt. Kilimanjaro compensates for the dusty safari through the magnificent landscapes of Africa.On arrival you will have lunch and then it is time for your first game drive in Amboseli national park. Amboseli’s fragile ecosystem displays an impressive wildlife variety, with more than 50 mammal species. The park is famous for being the best place in Africa to get close to free-ranging elephants among other wildlife species like Thomson’s and Grants gazelles, buffalo, warthog, Maasai giraffe, impala, water buck and dik-dikthe views of the majestic Mt. Kilimanjaro are stunning The coming two nights you will spend at the semi-luxury Kibo Safari camp. The spacious tents have custom designed beds and locally made using bush logs and will ensure a good night’s sleep! All tents have flush toilets, showers, and wash basins.

Day 17: Full day game drives in Amboseli National Park
In the early morning hours, the view of Mt. Kilimanjaro is usually the best and that is when you will start your safari to take breathtaking pictures of the landscape and animals. Today you will have a full day of game drives in Amboseli National park.
After the animal encounters of today you will go back to the camp in the late afternoon where you can relax or take a dip in the swimming pool.

Day 18: Welcome to Tanzania
In the early morning you will do a game drive on your way out of Amboseli N.P. Then it is time to say goodbye to Kenya and go to Tanzania! On the other side of Namanga border your Tanzanian guide will be waiting to transfer you to Ilboru Safari Lodge; a pleasant lodge with a beautiful garden and swimming pool. Harmoniously woven into the surrounding African landscape, Ilboru Safari Lodge rests at the base of the majestic Mt. Meru. Depending on your time of arrival you can do an optional activity organized by the lodge.

Day 19: Lake Manyara National Park
Today, after an early breakfast, you will be traveling to the first national park of this trip: Lake Manyara National Park. On arrival you will stretch your legs during a 2 to 3-hour village walk in cozy ‘Mto Wa Mbu’. Here you will meet the local community, taste homemade banana beer, learn about the Makonde woodcarvings and listen to your guide who will tell you everything about the way of living in this village. After the village walk, you will have a local lunch. Together with the highly respected Miss Bibi you prepare a delicious Swahili meal.
Your accommodation for tonight is Manyara Wildlife Safari Camp. Take a refreshing dip in the inviting outdoor pool and enjoy the fantastic sunset with a cold drink on the veranda!

Day 20: The Serengeti
After breakfast, you depart for the most famous safari park in the world: Serengeti National Park. The Serengeti hosts the most extensive population of wild animals on earth and has a complex and untouched ecosystem. Serengeti means “endless plains” in the language of the Maasai, a description that the Serengeti completely lives up to. These endless plains have to be experienced to be fully appreciated! You visit the heart of the Serengeti, Seronera Valley. This valley might be termed as the ‘classic’ Serengeti; short grass plains with all different kind of wild animals ranging from the impressive lion to the naughty mongoose. From the park entrance you game drive towards your accommodation for tonight.After the incredible impressions of the Serengeti, you’ll have your overnight at Tortilis. Camp where each safari-tent has an en-suite bathroom, modern furnishings and a private verandah.Tonight you can share your Serengeti experiences around the campfire!

Day 21: Game drives in Serengeti National Park
Early in the morning you leave the camp for a full day safari! Most of the national park is open and grassy. Ultimately, the success of any safari lies in the number and quality of encounters with big cats. There are thousands of lions in the Serengeti and you have a fair chance to see cheetahs, although they are difficult to spot. And when it comes to leopards, the Serengeti rarely disappoints! We will find you a nice picnic spot to enjoy your packed lunch and then you slowly continue your safari back to Tortilis Camp. Keep your eyes open since you still have chances to see all kinds of animals roaming the plains, hidden behind bushes or resting in a tree. You never know when and were exactly you will spot wildlife. Back at the lodge you will have an excellent dinner and some time to relax.

Day 22: Game drives in Serengeti National Park and the Ngorongoro Crater
Today you enjoy a long game drive on your way out of the beautiful Serengeti and continue to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. In the afternoon, you will have a game drive in the Ngorongoro Crater!
As an UNESCO World Heritage Site the crater offers a unique biosphere which has remained virtually unchanged since the dawn of time. There are very few places in the world where you can find such a large population of wildlife throughout the year. Deep within the crater, enclosed by towering walls, you have a good chance of spotting ‘The Big 5’: Lion, elephant, buffalo, rhino and leopard. For the latter two you need a bit of luck as they tend to shy away. Approximately 8 000 animals live on the crater floor!
After this great experience, you drive to Country Lodge Karatu to enjoy dinner and an en-suite fireplace.

Day 23: Departure
Today is unfortunately the last day of your trip with Wild trails safaris Uganda! Depending on the time your flight departs, there might be some time left today to do some optional activities in Arusha town at your own expense. The driver/guide will take care of your transfer to Kilimanjaro airport. This is the end of hopefully a wonderful tour through Uganda, Rwanda, Kenya & Tanzania!
